Wader Survey 2014

I carried out my first wader survey for 2014 today - obviously you already know about the great numbers of Lapwings on nests.

I also saw a Redshank and a Curlew on a nest plus a number of other Curlews displaying. I only saw 2 Oystercatchers.

Other birds seen were 3 Stock Dove, Linnets and Pied Wagtails.

There was also a lovely Peacock Butterfly on the footpath near your house.

Hopefully see you next month, Cheers Ian.
